RTRA Now on Facebook

14-Sep-2012

Our new Facebook page will help spread the word and make it easier for many of our members to engage with the RTRA.

We hope you 'like' it (and share it with your friends)!

You'll find it at www.rtra.asn.au/facebook

We're now about 6 months out from the next State Election. This is the time that riders and the industry need to come together to leverage that once-in-four-years opportunity.

We need to make sure that both sides of politics know that we represent;

  • around 50,000 trail and quad bike riders
  • an industry worth $120 million + per year
  • a recreation activity that has physical and social benefits
  • a recreation activity that has been neglected and unfunded for the past thirty years.

Over the next few months we will be rolling out several election-related campaigns to supplement our ongoing behind-the-scenes advocacy work.

For these campaigns to be successful we need to increase our membership base to present an even stronger front, and we need to communicate more effectively with our members.

Of course we will be continuing to maintain our web site as a source of information for riders, and our monthly eNewsletter will continue.
