RTRA AGM 2014 - October 21

22-Oct-2014

The 2014 RTRA AGM and Social Night was held at the Oxford Hotel on Tuesday 21st October.  As is now the RTRA tradition the formalities were dealt with briefly.

Steve Pretzel provided members and guests with the President's Report - an overview of the Association's achievements over the past twelve months and some of the challenges ahead for 2015.  Two new Committee members were nominated and endorsed without the need for an election.  We welcome Troy Speer and Angel Uruchima to the Committee.

Steve then presented the Treasurer's Report on behalf of Treasurer Henry van Es who has only just returned from a riding expedition.  The RTRA's financial position remains healthy, mainly due to the very low operating costs incurred.

Following the formal AGM we were all treated to a glimpse of the diverse riding available in Cambodia.  Leigh Renton provided a succinct and informative recount of a recent ride there, complete with photos, video and the all important costs and logistics information.

We had lots of prizes to give away this year, thanks to the generosity of the following companies:

  • Rick Gill Motorcycles
  • Steve's Motorcycles
  • Freak Show Racing
  • Coffee Rock Motorcycle Parts
  • Ashfield Smash Repairs
  • Tyres for Bikes

Everyone then stayed around for a few beers and to catch up with fellow riders.  it was good to see so many members supporting this event which just keeps getting better each year.
