Pinjar Trail Construction Commences

28-Aug-2010

Clearing will commence today (Saturday 28 August) for the new PeeWee and 'Family' trails at the Pinjar Off Road Vehicle Area.

The 1.3km PeeWee trail is intended for the youngest riders and builds on the experience gained from the original Pilot Trail.

The 'Family Trail' will be approximately 6km of surfaced one-way trail and has been designed for beginner to intermediate riders.

DEC Swan Coastal Region is supporting the development with machinery, materials and personnel as part of the redevelopment plans for the area.

The RTRA will develop a 'Friends Of Pinjar' group of volunteer riders and families to take an interest in the area and provide monitoring, maintenance and assistance, as well as act as a reference group for future stages of the development.
