Opposition MPs push the State Trail Bike Strategy

06-Apr-2010

With the State Trail Bike Strategy due to be discussed by senior Cabinet ministers this month,
Maylands MLA Lisa Baker, West Swan MLA Rita Saffioti and Nollamara MLA Janine Freeman joined forces to press the Government for immediate action.

Ms Baker described the strategy as "well researched and offering a range of solutions". She was concerned that the Government was treating it as a low priority, however Sport and Recreation Minister Terry Waldron confirmed that he was working with other ministers to present the Government's response.

RTRA is frustrated at the time it has taken this strategy to move through the cogs of Government but we are still confident that the funds will be allocated to implement the recommendations.
