Next Steps for State Trail Bike Strategy

08-May-2008

The State Trail Bike Strategy is to be independently costed then submitted to Treasury for funding implications prior to a full Cabinet submission. The Department of Sport and Recreation is currently finalising the funding required to engage an independent costing expert and this process should commence within the next 6-10 weeks.

Yes, there's a fair bit of process to go through, but the recent acknowledgment by the Minister for Sport, Water and Police, the Hon John Kobelke that the strategy is needed is a very positive sign that there is political will to address the issues.
