Gnangara Finally Gets Some Attention

15-May-2008

The Wanneroo District of the Department of Environment and Conservation this week made some significant improvements at Gnangara.

Much of the larger rubbish along Centre Way has been collected and will be removed, Centre Way itself was graded, and the difficult (and dangerous) holes at the edge of Gnangara Rd have been repaired.

DEC Senior Operations Officer, Clayton Sanders, advises that 18 man-days of effort have gone into the clean-up, which also involved a bobcat, a front-end loader, a truck and a grader. RTRA is proposing a Clean-up Day where volunteer riders and families can get together to clean up as much as possible of the smaller rubbish and litter in the pines area itself.
